In order to heal, we must first allow ourselves to feel what is really affecting us. For years I lived in negative headspace. most of the time depressing thoughts would overwhelm me.

I found mindfulness meditation an effective tool for working with those negative thought patterns. I learned to pay attention to what I was feeling and when I honored it, often just by speaking about it, things got better.
